First look at Sex and the City's Kim Cattrall in new show, Glamorous
A first look at Netflix series Glamorous starring Sex and the City's Kim Cattrall and Love, Victor's Miss Benny has been unveiled.
The show, which focuses on the beauty industry, has also confirmed a release date, with the 10-episode series set to premiere on June 22.
The show follows Miss Benny's character Marco Mejia, a gender non-conforming queer person who begins to work for makeup mogul Madolyn Addison (Cattrall), and there learns what it really means to be queer.
In the first pictures, we get a look at the two main stars in character, including Marco and Madolyn looking in the mirror together.
Glamorous is also set to star Legacies star Zane Phillips as Madolyn's son Ben, "the director of sales for her beauty empire and constantly trying to live up to his mother's expectations", while Dynasty's Jade Payton plays Madolyn’s assistant Venetia.
Also on board are Tiny Pretty Things' Michael Hsu Rosen as Marco’s shy love interest Ben, Daisy Jones & The Six's Ayesha Harris as graphic designer Britt and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds' Graham Parkhurst as Marco’s not-shy love interest Parker.
The show has been in the works for a number of years, with The CW ordering a pilot back in 2019 before it moved to Netflix, and is written by Star Trek: Discovery's Jordon Nardino.
While Cattrall has been busy with various projects, she sat out Sex and the City reboot series And Just Like That, and said last year she had no plans to return to the franchise in the future.
"It's a great wisdom to know when enough is enough," she told Variety. "I also didn't want to compromise what the show was to me. The way forward seemed clear."
Glamorous will premiere on 22 June on Netflix.
