A First Look Inside Auberge’s Branded Residences in Puerto Rico
Auberge Resorts Collection has unveiled designs for the luxury hotel group’s first-ever branded residences in Puerto Rico—and Robb Report got an exclusive look inside. Developed in partnership with real estate firms Juniper Capital and Capital United, the forthcoming community will be part of Moncayo, a 1,100-acre development in Fajardo along the island’s eastern shoreline. Slated to launch early next year, it will comprise a 68-room hotel in addition to 15 detached villas and 50 condos and penthouses, plus 70 custom homesites. Toronto’s Studio Paolo Ferrari has been tapped to design the villas, the same firm known for creating grand interiors for Raffles, Four Seasons, and LVMH, to name a few.
“We are delighted to expand Auberge’s global portfolio in the Caribbean’s most exciting and dynamic new luxury destination, Moncayo,” said Christian Clerc, president and CEO of Auberge Resorts Collection, in a statement. “The resort will provide one-of-a-kind experiences that will immerse guests and residents in Puerto Rico’s natural beauty and cultural richness, serving as the heartbeat of this thriving new community. The villas and residences will offer the rare opportunity to call this captivating destination home.”

The custom hillside homesites will range from half an acre to over an acre with either ocean, island, golf course, or mountain views, while the turnkey villas will be delivered fully furnished with three bedrooms across approximately 4,500 square feet. Each villa will include its own pool and an open-plan layout with a chef’s kitchen. The condo options include ground-floor condos with walk-out garden access, second-floor units with wraparound balconies, and third-story penthouse suites with rooftop pools and garden terraces.
Property owners will enjoy access to their own private clubhouse, as well as a dedicated fitness area and wellness facility, plus an opportunity to join the Caribbean’s premier private club, The Moncayo Ocean Club. When completed, the community will also offer an 18-hole Mackenzie & Ebert-designed championship golf course, a 100-acre organic farm, a medical center, and its own K-12 charter school.
“We are beyond excited to partner with Auberge Resorts Collection. As passionate advocates for Puerto Rico and its people, we believe that Auberge’s commitment to luxury and community aligns perfectly with our vision for Moncayo,” added José E. Feliciano and Kwanza Jones, investors in the Moncayo project. “We’re confident that together, we can create an extraordinary and authentic destination that celebrates the island’s rich culture, stunning beauty and vibrant spirit.”
