First Look at the Cobra DARKSPEED Drivers

2024 drivers are coming hot and fast, as they always do this time of year. And while using the term artificial intelligence in a golf context increasingly feels like a marketing tactic, Cobra Golf's new DARKSPEED drivers promise to deliver its benefits in real life. The H.O.T. face has a 13% larger face insert than last year to increase ball speed across the entire hitting area. A PWR-BRIDGE weighting, meanwhile, is positioned lower behind the face in a bid to reposition mass and promote further gains in ball speed. Like its competitors, the DARKSPEED drivers push the limits of carbon composite proportions to allow mass to be redistributed into said PWR-BRIDGE structure.

Providing playable options for a variety of players, the DARKSPEED line features a low spin LS version for elite players, a standard X to suit most players and a game improvement MAX model for those seeking forgiveness. Each driver allows a high degree of customization through interchangeable weight ports, allowing club fitters to affect launch, shot shape and spin.

This is where the DARKSPEED line really begins to stand out. The LS model is the most adjustable with three weight ports, and the X and MAX versions each have two. Likewise, MyFly® 8 with SmartPad® technology allows both loft and life to be quickly fine-tuned. It's safe to say the DARKSPEED drivers will be a club fitter's best friend. That's not even to mention the sleek black finish which will turn heads on the driving range.

Pre-ordering is available now on Cobra's website, with all three drivers priced at $550 USD.
