Finally, Normani Is Coming
Normani fans can finally breathe: The pop star has officially announced her comeback and new musical era, beginning tonight.
The singer took to Instagram late Wednesday to share the cover artwork for her upcoming single, "Wild Side," which will feature megastar rapper Cardi B. On the single's cover, both Normani and Cardi are nude, with their floor-length, flowing hair carefully concealing their bodies. The new song is set to release tonight at midnight ET.
Though "Wild Side" marks the first official singing collaboration between Cardi and Normani, the two have worked together before: Normani made a memorable cameo in Cardi and Megan Thee Stallion's "WAP" music video, which dropped last summer.
Normani previously teased a clip of the new single with an Instagram post featuring herself clad in a satin ruched bikini, lying in the sun, with a snippet of her new single playing in the background.
"Know it's been awhile," the singer wrote in the post, acknowledging the long wait for a proper new single following her 2019 solo debut, "Motivation."
Cardi also took to social media, expressing her excitement over the pair's anticipated collaboration.
"I feel like this is Normani's big comeback, and I want you guys to treat it like it's her birthday," Cardi said in an Instagram Story on Wednesday. "This song, this everything is amazing, and I'm just so proud of her. … I'm so excited. You guys are going to see Normani in a different light. Oh, my gosh … this is amazing."
