We Finally Know the Name of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s Second Baby
Fans waited for a long time to discover the name of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky's first child (even though she subtly dropped hints about the moniker months earlier), but they won't have to wait as long to find out their second baby's name.
People reported today that the couple named their second son Riot Rose Mayers, according to a copy of the birth certificate obtained by the outlet. Rihanna gave birth to Riot in the early morning of August 1 at Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
A source opened up to People about where Rihanna's head is at now that she's a mother of two. “Rihanna feels her family is now complete,” the insider said. “It’s something she’s always wanted.”
The couple previously welcomed firstborn RZA Athelston Mayers on May 13, 2022. His first name is a nod to the Wu-Tang Clan’s de facto leader, RZA, while the middle name is the same as Rocky’s, whose given name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers.
The multi-hyphenate previously talked about how motherhood has impacted her during the Apple Music Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show press conference. “When I first got the call to do [the Super Bowl] again this year, I was like, ‘You sure?’ Like, I’m three months postpartum, like, should I be making major decisions like this right now? Like, I might regret this,” she said. “But when you become a mom, there’s something that just happens where you feel like you could take on the world, you can do anything.”
