A Ferrari in the living room: Inside the London home of Sugababes star Heidi Range
The London home of former Sugababes star Heidi Range is now for sale.
Situated in the iconic Loud & Western building in Fulham, this unique loft-style property is steeped in history and offers architecturally designed interiors behind an imposing facade. The singer and her husband, Alex Partakis, purchased the property as a shell in 2015 and spent two years renovating it.
Highlights include bespoke joinery, sweeping staircases, underfloor heating, air conditioning, a roof terrace with brilliant views, feature fireplaces, glass doors, and five bedrooms and bathrooms.
There's a wonderful open-plan reception/kitchen/dining room on the first floor, which has been separated into clearly defined zones. The Roundhouse-designed kitchen is complete with Miele appliances and dark navy cabinets, and a sliding door in this room leads to an internal garage. The star of the show is the red Ferrari in the living room, hidden behind a glass cabinet.
Meanwhile, the first is flooded with natural light. A spacious hallway leads to four bedrooms, a utility room and a family bathroom. The top floor is currently used as a media room, with a large retractable cinema screen and home office.
'We've made so many happy memories here, from hosting our engagement party to raising our two daughters and enjoying lots of special birthday celebrations and Christmases,' says Heidi. 'Although we will be sad to say goodbye, we are excited for our new chapter as a family and we hope that the house brings the next owner as much joy as it has brought us.'
This landmark building was originally built in the 19th century as the Loud & Western Laundry, later becoming the Sunlight Laundry. It was previously used as a library and local community centre before it was redeveloped.
Tom Reeves, head of Savills Bishop's Park, comments: 'Alex and Heidi have done a wonderful job in creating such a well thought out home that works brilliantly to suit a wide range of buyers from couples to families, as well as those looking for a lock up and leave London house.
'The property has an immediate wow factor – you can’t fail to be impressed by the industrial facade and the beautifully designed interiors, and there are also a number of special individual features such as the staircase which really set this property apart.
'Along with the two outdoor areas, the internal accommodation lends itself perfectly to entertaining and the lateral space it offers is particularly desirable for people wanting somewhere that gives them flexible open-plan living.'
This property is currently on the market for £5.3 million via Savills.
