London Fashion Week spring/summer 2019 has already brought us some stunning beauty looks, from a celebration of freckles, to rock ‘n’ roll evening eyes and this - the ultimate in glowing complexion perfection.

We’re talking about the look coined ‘hyper real nothing’ at Alexa Chung, think ‘no make-up’ make-up at its finest, as you’ll gather from the radiant pictures.

The lead make-up artist was Georgina Graham, who explained that “Alexa showed me the collection and mood boards for the show and we discussed the feeling that she wanted to create with this make-up look. She is incredibly collaborative and we created a cool, beautiful and glowing girl using SUQQU.”

The process began with an express facial massage, SUQQU’s famed Gankin facial technique which releases tension, boosting blood flow and lymph drainage while firming the facial contours. Most pro make-up artists begin their makeovers this way, it’s the best skin secret in the business.

After the massage was performed using the luxury Japanese brand’s Musculate Massage & Mask Cream, £66, additional skincare followed (the Moisture Repair Essence, £85, Moisture Hydro Lotion, £60, and Moisture Serum Cream, £100) to plump up the skin which was then primed with the Blooming Glow Primer.

The invisible make-up came courtesy of the Nude Wear Liquid foundation, £46, and Face Designing Concealer, from £11, only used where really needed (think blemishes, redness, dark circles), and to ensure a natural finish they were pressed into the skin, the heat from the hands blending them seamlessly.

Then the holy grail highlights came courtesy of a surprise; the same Face Designing Concealer but in shade H-02not strictly a highlighting product. Applied with fingers to the cheekbones, bridge of the nose, eyelids, cupids bow and even ears, it made for the ultimate in real-looking radiance. No sparkles in sight.

How else did Graham achieve glowy over greasy? Good old powder – but not any old one. She gently applied the Oil Rich Glow Loose Powder, £40, to powder the models’ T-zones with a soft brush. “The look is wearable from runway to the street in a heartbeat and is something for everyone to try,” she says. We concur.
