Farrow & Ball paint in real homes: 21 on point examples
Farrow & Ball has become an Instagram darling, and firm friend of every homeowner looking for the perfect shade of off-white, the most striking teal, or an array of nature-inspired greens to rival the best corners of the countryside.
But how to land on the right colour when there are so many brilliant ones to choose from? Whilst it's easy to enthuse over Sulking Room Pink and Lulworth Blue, creating the right colour palette for each room according to its use, layout, and access to natural light, take a bit more of an expert touch.
Here we look at 21 fabulous homes that have used Farrow & Ball paints to great effect.

1) India Yellow
We're huge proponents of using bold colours in small spaces, here a spicy yellow makes a feature of a tiny powder room.

2) Shaded White & Slipper Satin
A masterclass in off-white. We love the use of a classic racer green too, which seems to bit a boot room so well.

3) Inchyra Blue
Any colour that you apply in a shining lacquer finish will look pretty spectacular, and this deep blue/teal doubly so.

8) Wimborne White, Card Room Green & Shadow White
There is such a masterful mix of whites in this fabulous dining room, and what a great example of painted furniture – those table legs have been finished in Card Room Green.

9) Sulking Room Pink
One of those famous Farrow & Ball pinks – Sulking Room Pink makes the perfect shade for wood panelling. We love the matching sink here too.

10) Green Smoke & Eating Room Red
A painted bookcase will always make a great backdrop for accessories, but a novel choice has been made here of painting the surround and inside in different colours.
Bookcase: Green Smoke and Eating Room Red, both at Farrow & Ball

11) Sulking Room Pink
We're seeing a resurgence in quaint and nostalgic design details in the kitchen such as the farmhouse sink, pantries, and sweet under sink curtains. The pink shaker cabinets here complement the look perfectly.
Cabinets: Sulking Room Pink at Farrow & Ball

12) Wimborne White
Wimborne is not a bright or vibrant white, so it makes a calming choice for a restful bedroom.

13) Calke Green
One for the fearless decorator. Green is always a great choice for a room that overlooks a garden – the blurring of the boundaries between outside and in can make your room feel like an extension of the view beyond.
Cabinets: Calke Green at Farrow & Ball

14) All White & Slipper Satin
This wonderful palette is so easily replicated in your own home – the mix of warm whites with slate grey, red woods and terracotta is a failsafe choice.
Walls: All White, and woodwork: Slipper Satin, both at Farrow & Ball

15) Cromarty
This fresh grey green is a great colour for those who err on the side of neutrals in the home.
Panelling: Cromarty at Farrow & Ball

16) Wimborne White & Shadow White
One of the great things about warm neutrals is how they react to natural light – here, the Wimborne and Shadow Whites become creamier and warmer next to a window.
Walls: Wimborne White, cabinets: Shadow White, both at Farrow & Ball

17) Light Gray & Picture Gallery Red
How brilliant is this country kitchen? Whilst the Light Gray walls can feel contemporary in the right spaces, here, the addition of those hanging baskets and a rich red kitchen island make it altogether more classic.
Walls: Light Gray, kitchen island: Picture Gallery Red, both at Farrow & Ball

18) Breakfast Room Green
A pale green is always a good choice if you like using reclaimed furniture or antiques because it sits so well with the more traditional reddish woods like mahogany.

19) Lulworth Blue
One of our favourite Farrow & Balll blues – Lulworth is named after the shade of the sea at Lulworth Cove in Dorset
victoriaaldersonart@Instagram - 21/21
20) Dead Salmon
Dead Salmon is a lot more pleasant than the name suggests. This is a really delicate pink, and a great choice next to cooler colours like blue and green.
