Fans Are Convinced This Is The *Exact* Perfume Taylor Swift Wears
As a perfume-obsessed beauty-editor who's been a Swiftie for the past 18 years, sussing out the megastar's favourite perfume has been a personal mission. While the editor side of me just wants her to just do an in-depth beauty interview where she shares all her must-haves, my Swiftie side secretly loves the fact that despite her celebrity status, Swift - in recent years - has not name-dropped any products explicitly.
Until now.
Well, sort of.
In a clip taken at the recent MTV Video Music Awards, Swift was seen posing for photos with drag queen Xunami Muse, before Muse appeared to ask her 'You smell so good. What is that?' while making gestures alluding to spraying perfume. Lip readers all over the internet deciphered that Swift's answer seemingly said 'Tom Ford'.
This seems to solidify the fan theory that Swift's signature scent is Tom Ford Santal Blush (currently sold out online at Selfridges and Sephora). It's a rumour that took off back in 2020 when a bottle of the fragrance was pictured in the background of a scene from her documentary Miss Americana. Those lucky enough to attend Swift's secret listening parties in the past have also reported that the songwriter wears Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb and Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille.
Considering her well-documented love for all things autumnal and cosy, both Santal Blush and Tobacco Vanille fit the bill perfectly. The former is plush and creamy with generous helpings of sandalwood alongside velvety rose petals while the latter is darker, with mysterious hints of smoked, rich vanilla.
As a Swiftie, I understand just how much we love a bit of speculation, but it must be said that Swift herself has never directly confirmed that these were definitely her go-to fragrances. The cynic in me also knows that someone with Swift's level of access can most likely request for bespoke scents to be made just for her.

But that clip is the closest we can get to knowing what she *actually* smells like, so if you need me, I'll be at the fragrance counter asking for a bottle of Santal Blush (and perhaps a vintage bottle of Wonderstruck - IYKYK).
