Kristen Stewart is about to return to the big screen in a huge new role, as she stars as Princess Diana in upcoming film Spencer (out 5 November). And while Kristen has spoken extensively about Diana in the run up to playing her, the actress' latest comments about the princess have fans pretty baffled, and it's hilarious.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter on the red carpet for Spencer, Kristen explained her decision to take on the role, leading her to deliver the bizarre comment: "Princess Diana's a pretty rad figure in our history, man."
Understandably, Kristen's line has sparked quite the reaction from fans, mostly down to her casual description of the late princess as "rad".
Following on from the baffling comment, Kristen explained more about why she opted for the part - including that she didn't realise just how "rad" Princess Diana was until getting into the role. She said, "Yeah, I didn't know that as deeply as I do now, then. But I instinctively just thought, you know, this was something to lean into."

Writer Evan Ross Katz posted the moment on Instagram, with fans taking to the comments to share their reactions.
One wrote, "I can’t stop watching this," while another sarcastically added, "She said what needed to be said!"
Meanwhile, one follower wrote, "Some words truly say so much and so little at the same time. No choice but to stan a succinct princess."
Others kept their reactions short and sweet, with one jokingly commenting "Facts" while another added, "Screaming".
Honestly, we're obsessed with the whole thing.
Kristen previously opened up about her "obsession" with Princess Diana, telling Sky News, "I'm obsessed with her - I love her so much."
Spencer is released on 5 November.
