This Fan-Favorite $6.99 ALDI Appliance Is Finally Back in Stock
Grab this seasonal find before it's gone.
Waffles are one of our family’s favorite festive breakfasts, so I’ve been keeping an eye out for a cute holiday waffle maker since last December. You see, I saw that ALDI had a mini waffle maker in their seasonal section last year, but regretfully, I passed on it.
Since then, I’ve held off on buying other, more expensive novelty waffle makers because I've loved some of ALDI’s other Ambiano appliances; I just knew that its mini waffle maker would be affordable and great to use.
Last week, I finally spotted the Ambiano Holiday Mini Waffle Makers back in stock and grabbed one immediately. I’m so glad I waited until it was finally back in stock—after a weekend of waffling I can’t believe how mighty this tiny and cute waffle maker is for just $6.99.
Ambiano Mini Waffle Maker
Price: $6.99
Why I Love It: Cute, durable, and affordable, this mini waffle iron features seasonal designs—snowmen, Christmas trees, and snowflakes—that become imprinted on the waffles.
Ambiano Mini Waffle Makers Create Holiday Fun
This is the third year that ALDI has carried the Ambiano Holiday Mini Waffle Makers! While the exact dimensions and price vary year-to-year, they typically come in three holiday colors—red, green, or white—and each has a distinct design: snowman, Christmas tree, and snowflake. The waffle makers are reportedly about a dollar less than they were last season, too. I grabbed the snowflake, which seemed to have the most nooks in the design—my favorite for pooling butter and syrup.
Right out of the box, this mini waffle is darling and feels durable. The irons have a nonstick coating that helps set the holiday design in the batter and doesn’t require extra butter or oil to prevent sticking. The iron is designed with the holiday print on the top and a classic waffle design on the bottom and makes one (four-inch) waffle at a time. You can use your favorite waffle recipe or mix up your favorite pancake or waffle mix—you’ll need about a quarter cup of batter per waffle.
While I was worried that this mini waffle maker would have me standing over the kitchen counter for hours on a Saturday morning, a batch of waffle mix turned out eight waffles in less than 40 minutes. Each waffle takes three to four minutes to cook, depending on how brown you like them. Though the iron is nonstick, brushing on a little melted butter before adding the batter makes the waffles a bit crispier, which my whole family loved.
My teen daughter was especially enamored with the cute and tasty waffles. Something about the small size of the waffle maker made her excited to make her own waffles as soon as her holiday break starts. Paired with an easy waffle mix and a little bottle of maple syrup, this would make a sweet gift for the teen or young adult this holiday season, but no matter whether you're buying for others or yourself, be sure to grab one of these mini waffle irons before they're gone for the season.
