Clean you air fryer after every use

To keep your air fryer in tip-top condition, we recommend cleaning the basket or draw after every single use. This will avoid any oil, grease and grime setting in as it will be much harder to clean the basket if you have to scrub hard food residue away. Without cleaning after each use, small crumbs and grime can burn during the next time you cook - leaving your food with an unpleasant taste - yuck!

Soak removable parts

Start by removing the basket and the tray and fill your sink with warm water. Squirt a generous amount of a gentle washing-up liquid, such as method’s washing-up liquid in green tea and citrus. Citrus is a great cleaning ingredient as it contains acid, oils and enzymes that can soften the build up of food. This product is known for its powerful and biodegradable ingredients and will leave your air fryer dazzling and spotless. Allowing the parts to soak for 10–15 minutes will loosen any grease and residue, making it easier to scrub away any food stains.

Scrub, scrub, scrub

Next, take a sponge or soft-bristle brush, and scrub down the tray and basket before rinsing again. Then take each part and dry it with a clean towel. Make sure both parts are completely dry before re-using them, as moisture can damage the appliance – and water and electricity don’t mix well! If grease has accumulated on the heating element, turn the air fryer upside down for easier access.

Wipe the interior

Don’t forget about the interior of the air fryer! Using a damp cloth, give the interior a thorough wipe down. For an extra boost, opt for gentle surface cleaning spray which will help budge those stubborn stains.

Move onto the exterior

The exterior of the air fryer also collects dust, fingerprints, and grease, so it is important to take a cloth and wipe the exterior, paying special attention to buttons and the control panel. Avoid spraying cleaner directly onto electronic components to prevent damage. Once the air fryer and all its parts are clean, allow them to air dry completely or wipe them with a clean towel before reassembling.

Perform a deep clean every month

Depending on how often you use your air fryer, it is a good idea to give it a deep clean every couple of weeks, as regular care will ensure it stays in tip-top condition and ready to deliver delicious meals. We also suggest avoiding putting the air fryer basket and tray in the dishwasher as the high heat can damage the non-stick coating on the basket.
