A viral bottle of bubbly that has enchanted experts is officially on sale, just in time for the last minute Christmas preparations.

With the festive season underway, you might still need a bottle of fizz for any special occasions. One that you might need to add to your list is the supermarket's highly popular Crémant De Jura.

This Specially Selected sparkling wine has earned high praise from Wine professional Tom Gilbey who praised it as an "absolute banger" in one of his more recent critiques of store bought Christmas fizz for under £13 on TikTok.

Speaking of Aldi's budget bubbles, Gilbey advised it would be his "go-to" for the holidays. Speaking of its taste, he said: "So zippy. It reminds me of being in the mountains… Hundred percent chardonnay. Absolute banger."

Even better, you can nab a bottle of this critically approved fizz for less, as a 75cl bottle has been reduced from £10.99 to an even more affordable £8.19. Shoppers can take advantage of the deal until December 31, allowing time to bag a bottle for New Year parties.

It's not just Tom that is a fan of Aldi's Crémant De Jura, as other shoppers reacted to the video with their own praise. One fan of the bottle wrote: "I clear the shelves of that Cremant when it’s in stock! Delicious for the price…"

Another fan wrote: "I get every Aldi recommendation and he's not steered me wrong yet."

Someone else urged the expert: "Please don’t tell people about Jura."

The Crémant De Jura is a French brut-style sparkling wine that is said to boast crisp and citrus notes among its fizz. It offers a similar drinking experience to a luxury champagne, just without the price-tag.

The price drop on the Crémant De Jura is part of the supermarket's "biggest wine price drop of the year". Over 60 of the German supermarket's Specially Selected wines have been reduced by up to 25 percent ahead of Christmas day.

With the deal available to shop in store now until December 31, it gives shoppers the opportunity to get a hold off award-winning wines that often receive praise for any festivities they have planned for the remainder of the year.

It comes not long after Aldi brought back its bestselling Specially Selected French Cairanne. Also a hit with experts and critics, this "rich" red wine was so popular that it sold out within four days of its launch in 2023.

The supermarket isn't just helping shoppers save money on alcohol this Christmas, as it is bringing back its festive "Super Six" campaign that will see it reduce the cost of select fresh veggies to just 15p.

The annual promotion will slash the prices of Christmas dinner staples such as potatoes, carrots, swede, parsnips, Brussel sprouts and cabbage. The deal will be available in stores this week from December 19-24.
