Exclusive: The Undoing star Lily Rabe explains need for a second season
The Undoing has kept us gripped for weeks with its many twists, with viewers left speculating about who really killed Elena Alves (Matilda De Angelis) right up until the very end.
It's not only viewers who are clamouring for more after that shocking ending, as actress Lily Rabe, who played Sylvia Steinetz on the HBO miniseries, is also keen on the idea of a second season.
Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, the actress revealed that there haven't yet been any official talks about making more episodes of the star-studded drama but she definitely wouldn't say no if the idea became a reality.

"The only talks I've heard about are sort of like this – people asking about it," she said. "But yes, I would do it in a heartbeat. When we set out to do it, it had a beginning, middle, and an end. I guess you never know."
The actress, who also stars in American Horror Story, added that she thinks there is a huge amount that the show could cover in a second season, revealing that she feels we need to find out more about all the characters.
"Part of what's wonderful about the show is the mystery around so many of the characters. It is only six episodes. There are only so many things that we're ever going to find out. It's like the tip of the iceberg for so many characters," she explained.
"Really, there's so much more, but that's what's so great about the show. It leaves you wanting more. It's definitely better than the alternative."
She added that she particularly wants to dive into Sylvia's history with Grace Fraser (Nicole Kidman) and Franklin Reinhardt (Donald Sutherland), saying: "I think knowing more about the history of those two families, of Sylvia's family and Grace's family, and what that history is – I think Sylvia has known Grace and Franklin since she was born.
"So those 'forever' relationships, and how they evolve – and certainly after this, I would like to know more. There would be a lot there."
It's not just the gripping story that has Rabe keen to reprise her role either, as she praised the work of the drama's costume designer and joked that she'd love to get back into Sylvia's wardrobe.

"Those clothes! I get to keep wearing those clothes," she said of the potential to come back for a second season. "We had the greatest costume designer. And the coats! The coats - my God!"
Although director Susanne Bier has said that she thinks the six episodes we've seen provided "a natural arc" for the story, the drama has been hugely popular so only time will tell whether we'll get to see those complex characters return.
The Undoing aired on HBO and Sky Atlantic, and is available on streaming service NOW TV.
