5:11 P.M. It's still an hour to show time, but makeup and hair are underway. Julie Schott gives the breakdown on the look we'll see on the runway.

MAKEUP: It was all about eyes. Lead makeup artist Diane Kendall created six different cat eyes, using three types of black liner. Kendall looked to the fifties, sixties, and nineties for inspiration, but ultimately tailored each cat eye to the natural eye shape. "On some girls we made it thicker on top than underneath. For some girls we're making it more exaggerated on the outer corner just to blend," she explained backstage. "On the round eyes, we're making it thicker so we can get a more exaggerated point. On some, we're just literally doing quite a thick line so when they open the eyes, you can see the top of it and then bringing it out but we're keeping it quite straight."

HAIR: No visible hair. Instead the models wore "head treatments" by Stephen Jones, said Redken hairstylist Guido who was tasked with prepping the hair underneath. "It's street and couture themed," he said, citing Diana Vreeland, Anjelica Huston, and Pat Cleveland as references. "Using a head treatment gives you instant style."
