Everything you need to know about Beyonce’s Ivy Park fashion show in Dubai

After the whole of the fashion set seemingly spent their New Year’s celebrations in St Barths, anybody who has been on Instagram recently will have noticed that they’ve now jetted off to Dubai (it’s alright for some…). And Beyonce – who is the name on everybody’s lips right now - used the occasion to launch her latest Ivy Park clothing collection “Park Trail”.

Hello! Fashion’s Natalie Salmon explained: “The A-list gathering was to mark the grand reveal of Atlantis The Royal, Dubai's new ultra-luxury hotel. The weekend has featured a series of glittering events, including Beyoncé's first live performance since 2018, a star-studded Sake Ceremony hosted by chef Nobu Matsuhisa, as well as Kendall Jenner hosting the launch of her 818 Tequila brand in the UAE.”

Whilst the outfits of the fashionistas attending obviously haven't disappointed: from Lady Amelia Spencer in Zimmerman to Kendall Jenner in Victoria Beckham, Beyonce’s party outfits and comeback performance completely stole the show. To top it off, she hosted her own fashion show, to showcase her latest Adidas x Ivy Park collaboration.

The show was held at Nobu by the Beach — one of eight new restaurants at the Atlantis Royal where Beyoncé put on a stellar performance on Saturday night. It was an “Ivy Park” takeover, with a huge structural logo standing against the swimming pool, orange cushions scattered across poolside beds and a plethora of ‘Ivy Park’ flags that swished in the UAE evening breeze.

Models walked the orange carpet to showcase various pieces from the collection which is inspired by “the resilience of the outdoors, the spirit of the streets, and the possibilities of the future”.

Elevating Ivy Park’s signature street style agenda, we saw numerous items from the 56-piece collection including bright orange puffer coats, camouflage co-ords, sequin gloves, military blazers, hoodies and Adidas logo-adorned jersey dresses.

According to The Hollywood Reporter “Beyoncé wasn’t onsite at the event, but her music was. The superstar’s creative director, Andrew Makadsi, deejayed and spun several songs from her recent album Renaissance, including “Break My Soul,” “Cuff It,” “Cozy” and “Heated.” He also played Janet Jackson’s “What Have You Done for Me Lately” and Madonna’s “Vogue” while guests sipped on signature cocktails and snacked on Japanese-Peruvian bites.”

What.a.party.

2023 is seemingly the year of the R&B queen comebacks, with Rihanna also making a statement in the build up to her upcoming Super Bowl performance, using the spectacle to announce her latest clothing collaboration “Game Day”.

Beyonce’s new collection is available in Adidas stores and online from February 9.
