Royal style icon Princess Diana couldn't have predicted the lasting impact that her chic athleisure ensembles would come to have on the modern street style – currently #princessdianastyle boasts an impressive 44.3m views on TikTok.
Avid fans of the princess' outfits will recall that she strongly favoured graphic sweatshirts, cycling shorts and chunky trainers in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Even when nipping to the gym, she made her style a priority – as if we couldn't love her any more.

Hailey Bieber, who has publicly cited the princess as one of her personal style icons, has been spotted for the second time this month sporting a red New York Yankees cap. Both times the supermodel-cum-skinfluencer has styled her headgear with her beloved oversized leather jacket, and on her most recent outing she rocked a black crop top, relaxed-fit mid-waist jeans, brassy gold earrings and a classic belt.

Kendall Jenner styled hers with split hem flares
Like her pal, Kendall Jenner has also been flying the flag for the Yankees cap, although she opted for the princess' favoured hue, rich navy, for her baseball hat moment. The 27-year-old rocked hers with split hem flares and a Princess Diana footwear favourite: chunky dad trainers.

Another stylish celeb who has been championing the baseball cap is Emily Ratajkowski. The My Body author styled hers with a dark blue fitted shirt and a wraparound mini skirt and a shoulder bag by cult-adored Loewe.
