The Duchess of Cambridge‘s style is not one to be overlooked.
Aside from contributing over £1 billion to the economy (yep, fact), the Duchess’s style has become a cultural talking-point in its own right.
Under the ‘Duchess Effect’, the 36-year-old sparks sale surges for brands and amasses critique by the international fashion press nearly every time she leaves the gates of Kensington Palace.
And her sartorial influence hasn’t seen a dip in 2018.
The Duchess has had quite a year so far: starting it four months pregnant – thus providing us with the most effortless maternity wardrobe – before giving birth to Prince Louis in late April.
Mere weeks after, she made her first post-pregnancy appearance at the wedding of Prince Harry and her Meghan Markle, wearing a lemon-hued Alexander McQueen dress (one she’d recycled the fourth time over) and a custom Philip Treacy hat.
A long-standing ambassador for British fashion, and unafraid to show off her thrifty side, often repeat-wearing items, the McQueen look surely laid out the Duchess’s style sentiments for year ahead.
Could 2018 be the Duchess’s best year yet? We can’t wait to see…
