OG Eva Longoria fans will remember the actress from her days dazzling as Gaby Solis on Desperate Housewives. Since then, she's gone on to direct, produce and now write ... another cookbook, that is. My Mexican Kitchen, which includes recipes that pay homage to Longoria's heritage, was recently released and has already garnered 4.5 out of 5 stars on Amazon.

If 2025 is the year you cook more and try new foods, then you'll want to score this cookbook while it's 50% off. In this followup to her first cookbook Eva's Kitchen, Longoria shares everything she's learned from aunts, friends, chefs and beyond about making the best Pollo Asado, Shrimp Aguachile, Butternut Squash with Coconut Oil and Cayenne and more.

Fans say the dishes are "simple and delicious" and "easy to make." One shopper raved, "The recipes are wonderful! My family loves absolutely everything I have made from this book! The recipes are elevated but easy enough for weeknight meals."

In the weeks leading up to her cookbook's release, Longoria's Instagram was filled with videos of her cooking up a storm in the kitchen. In one posted in December, she cooked tostadas alongside Brooklyn Beckham, a model/photographer/chef/hot sauce maker. In another, she showed off her culinary prowess by making over 300 tamales. The food she makes looks nothing short of spectacular, but so are the tools and gadgets she uses. If you're curious about what Longoria is cooking with, keep reading to shop some of the essentials we spotted in her videos.

The vessel Longoria entrusts to properly simmer a savory white pozole stew in this Instagram video? An oversize Le Creuset Dutch oven in classic red. She joins the legions of fans who love this pot, including Ina Garten, Lisa Vanderpump and Yahoo's resident cooking expert, Lisa Schweitzer.

Longoria used glass bowls to stash an assortment of garnishes for her stew. There are lots of great options out there, but shoppers on Amazon rave about this Pyrex pick. It's a No. 1 bestseller with nearly 26,000 five-star reviews. The set includes a 1-quart, a 1.5-quart, and a 2.5-quart round bowl.

"These nest well," wrote a fan. "These are heavy duty. I use them alot — works in microwave."

Longoria chopped veggies for a soup like a pro in this Insta video. Rather than rely on a plastic design, she went with a sturdy wood cutting board. We like this thick Amazon find because it has handles and juice grooves and it's affordable. "Nice size, quality wood — What's not to like? Every kitchen needs a good, solid cutting board like this," commented one of the 3,000+ five-star fans.

Longoria used a stunning blue nonstick pan to sauté onions in this Instagram post. It looks strikingly similar this popular ceramic version by Caraway that one Amazon shopper called "better than All-Clad!" It's oven-safe, compatible with all cooktops and made without toxic compounds like PTFE and PFOA.

Longoria's mini meatballs look nothing short of magical as she mixes the ingredients for them in metal mixing bowls. And she's not the only person who swears by stainless steel. Pro baker Britt Ross agrees they're a must-have as do the more than 30,000 shoppers who've given this FineDine set a five-star rating.

"These are nice deep bowls, perfect for mixing when baking/cooking, not too lightweight. They all nestle together nicely and don’t take up a lot of space," wrote one happy reviewer.

Like any smart chef, Longoria doesn't risk damaging her nonstick pan by using a metal utensil. Instead, she used a wooden spoon to stir onions in this video. If you're not sure which brand to buy, consider that one Amazon shopper called this OXO design the "best wood spoon set I’ve ever bought." Another added, "These are not your average wooden utensils. These are really great quality."

Dice garlic by hand? No way when you can use a garlic press like Longoria did in this Instagram video. This Kuhn Rikon pick is a top-of-the-line splurge, but shoppers say it's worth it.

"I bought this item for myself nine years ago and use it regularly. Its performance hasn’t diminished, it looks brand-new, has a generous capacity for large garlic cloves, and cleans easily. This is a kitchen tool I wouldn’t go without!" one reviewer explained.

Why buy ice pops when you can easily make your own? Longoria showed off just how easy it is to make refreshing mango paletas at home in this Instagram video. The kitchen tool that makes it all possible? A silicone popsicle mold.

This under-$20 Amazon pic is a solid buy and makes 10 at a time. "Comes out perfectly! Nice big size, like the Twin Pop," one customer commented.
