Alistair went all out and set up a number of homes to view however after viewer properties in Gower Alistair had to venture out of the area to stay within the couple's budget.

During the search the TV star took the pair to Pontarddulais, leaving the Gower behind. Here, they viewed a property built in the 1990s by the vendor's parents. The house also offered a utility, dedicated dining room, three bathrooms, and four bedrooms, with a generous landing and hallway featuring bespoke ash carpentry. There was also a detached garage with an attached workshop, as well as a mid-sized garden.

Guessing the price of the property, Leela said: “Top of our budget - £499,000,” with Peter estimating £495,000 - which is exactly what the property was priced at.

At the end of a busy week it was clear that the couple had to consider surrounding areas to get the house they truly loved.

Leela admitted: “I liked the mansion, it was a fantastic property. It really was. I think I wanted to be on the Gower but what I realised was, if we wanted to be there we have to up our budget in order to get the sort of property I would like there and it’s just not realistic.”

She contined: “You showed us that moving away a little bit more, you can get more for your money. With the mystery house, we weren’t on the Gower, but we had the views of the Gower.”

At first the couple were unsure if they were going to put an offer in for any of the houses as they considered renting for a while to explore the area properly.

But, Alistair revealed the next day that the pair ended up putting in an offer on the house in Pontarddulais, which was accepted.
