EmRata's response to a man telling her to "put on a shirt" is everything

Emily Ratajkowski's dog walking outfits are notorious. From crochet dresses to backless tops, the model, actress and podcast host regularly turns the streets of New York into her own personal runway while stepping out off duty with her adopted Husky-German Shepherd mix, Colombo. Far from the tired leggings and muddy trainers worn as an unofficial uniform by the dog walkers in my local park, EmRata's daily dog walks rival the fashion week runways for trend-led looks.

But, for her and her pup's latest outing yesterday morning [Tuesday 20 August], Emily opted for something much more low-key than the naked dresses and string bikinis we're used to seeing her rep on her Instagram feed. Because even verified fashion girlies like to dress down every now and then.

Donning a scoop-neck grey tank top paired with low-rise simple black jersey trousers and black gorpcore trainers, she elevated the 'fit to supermodel standards with a black leather shoulder bag, gold hoop earrings and a gold chain necklace. Her glasses and AirPods providing further accessories.

EmRata's ensemble is best described as comfy casual. And totally appropriate, FYI. So no wonder, post dog walk, she took a moment to capture her 'fit, filming herself as she crossed the street. But, far from the peaceful stroll we imagine she was anticipating when she stepped out that morning, her eight-second clip captures a man off-camera telling her to "put on a shirt".

Sharing the video on TikTok and Instagram, a man can be heard saying “Girl, put on a shirt” as Emily walks past. When she *is* indeed wearing a shirt in the clip... Not just any shirt, but the perfect grey tank top! Just us confused?

No matter, as EmRata had the perfect response. As well as captioning her post, “famously not demure, famously not mindful” – in reference to the ‘very demure, very mindful’ trend currently taking over our FYPs – she added a snippet of Charli XCX's song ‘365’ to the end of her video, timed perfectly for the lyrics “Who the f**k are you? I'm a brat when I'm bumpin' that. Now I wanna hear my track, are you bumpin' that?”.

Yep, this response is everything. We stan an unbothered queen. Now if you'll excuse us, we're shopping for a grey tank top of our own.
