Overnight [22 February, 2024], the annual – and very coveted – Prada Fall/Winter Womenswear Fashion Week show took place in Milan, Italy and while, for many, the runway 'fits were the highlight, for the Cosmo Beauty Team it was Emma Watson's nostalgic hairstyle. (Miuccia Prada, Raf Simons, I can only apologise.)

Stepping out alongside many 'a celeb – including the likes of Hunter Schafer and Letitia Wright – the ever-elegant Emma looked oh so glam wearing a nude healed pump, tiered tulle mini dress and matching blazer trench. However, fashions aside, it was actually her deeply parted hairstyle that had us doing a double take.

See below for a major throwback look:

As it were in the early 00s, Emma's combover side parting is moving ever closer to her left ear where it seems to have taken up residency. *Shudders in Y2K flashbacks*

Now, as pessimistic as I may sound about this look, the side part has made a huge comeback in recent years with the likes of Dua Lipa, Anne Hathaway and Megan Fox all wearing the millennial-inspired look. And TBH, like these powerhouse women, Emma, too, can rock just about any hairstyle.

On this occasion, the longtime Prada ambassador completed her 'do with soft mid-end length curls that sit perfectly at shoulder-length – together with the side parting, this package deal makes for a chic lob (aka, a long bob) haircut.

So, are you convinced? Or are you still a die-hard Gen Z middle part-er? The debate continues...
