Emma Stone has arrived at the 2024 Oscars!

Stone, the star of Poor Things, is up for the Best Actress trophy this evening. She did not channel her character Bella Baxter on the carpet; instead she opted for a mint sorbet Louis Vuitton gown. Stone walked the red carpet sans her husband, Dave McCary.

Stone loved playing Bella in Poor Things. "I was so crazy about her. It’s the idea of not living with that self-judgment or shame, as you say, or the social contracts that you make as a child growing up," she said in a recent interview with Variety. "And part of the nature of anxiety is that you’re always watching yourself. In some ways — this is horrible to say — it’s a very selfish condition to have. Not to insult other people with anxiety — I still have it — but it’s because you’re thinking about yourself a lot. You’re thinking about, 'What’s going to happen to me? What have I said? What have I done?' Whereas Bella’s way of approaching the world, it’s just about experience. It’s just about how she feels about things."

Bella was a remarkably different character than Mia, whom Stone portrayed in La La Land (a role for which she won her first Academy Award). Her outfit this evening is a departure from the dress she wore to the 2017 Oscars. This year's Vuitton gown opted for more of a statement with the peplum, as opposed to the column silhouette she chose seven years ago:

At the 2017 Oscars, Stone wore a gold Givenchy gown, mirroring the gold trophy she took home that evening. "I still have a lot of growing and learning and work to do," she said in her acceptance speech. "And this guy [referring to her Oscars trophy] is a really beautiful symbol to continue on that journey and I'm so grateful for that. So thank you so much."
