Tennis champion Emma Raducanu has been honoured with an MBE, which she received from King Charles.

Emma accepted the honour for services to tennis during a ceremony at Windsor Castle on Tuesday (30 November).

For the important occasion, the sports star wore a stunning Dior gown (she is an ambassador for the fashion house) which was trimmed with lace ruffles and featured a wide belt around the waist.

Emma topped the look with a black boating style hat for a stand-out extra touch. She also opted for a pair of glittering block heels with bows on the toe of each shoe, to complete the dramatic, monochrome look.

Photographs of the tennis star receiving her award were shared to the official Royal Family Instagram account, which explained that, “Emma Raducanu received her MBE for services to tennis following her US Open win, when she was just 18 years old, in September 2021.”

Emma Raducanu's US Open victory made her the first British woman to win a Grand Slam in more than four decades.

Emma also took to Instagram to share a post of her own, revealing that it was “a great honour receiving an MBE from his majesty the King,” and described the experience as a “pretty amazing day.”

Others who received honours on the same day as Emma Raducanu include Professor Isaac Julien, who received a knighthood for his services to diversity and inclusion in art. Civil Servant Benjamin Good also received an MBE for this services to people with visual impairments.

Benjamin attended the ceremony with his Guide Dog named Stamp, who was pictured sniffing The King’s hand when they met.
