Emma Corrin And Emily Ratajkowski Celebrate The Final Days Of Brat Summer In Venice
As we enter September and prepare for the inevitable coming of autumn, now feels as good a time as any to reflect on what has undoubtedly been a seriously epic summer season. There has been no shortage of good times, between all the sun-soaked holidays, drizzly festivals, Taylor Swift mania, Wimbledon, the Olympics and the messy mayhem of Charli XCX's brat girl aesthetic. And some, it seems, are not quite ready to let it all go...
This past weekend, as the great and the good of Hollywood descended on Venice Film Festival in a variety of classically elegant red carpet looks, two attendees stood out in particular: namely, Emma Corrin and Emily Ratajkowski.
While the likes of Angelina Jolie, Cate Blanchett and Amal Clooney stepped out in typically glamorous beaded, draped and frilled gowns, Corrin and Ratajkowski celebrated the final days – and ongoing appeal – of brat girl summer in the aesthetic's signature shade of bright green.

Corrin led the charge by wearing a cropped, Sixties-style suit in the highlighter hue to attend the Miu Miu Women's Tales photocall on August 31, accessorised with the brand's cult strappy slingbacks, mini Arcadie bowling bag and futuristic sunglasses for a more ladylike spin on the brat aesthetic.
Ratajkowski, meanwhile, turned to the designer archives for her brat green look later in the same day, attending the premiere of Battlefield (Campo Di Battaglia) in a plunging green gown plucked straight from Tom Ford's final 2004 collection for Gucci.
Clearly, brat girl summer is not simply seasonal, but an ongoing state of mind – and it's best exemplified by this particular shade of acid green, worn with tonnes of attitude. Brat girl autumn, here we come.
