Emily Ratajkowski Is Now Team Bob, Thanks To Her New Summer-Approved Haircut
In a recent Instagram Story, Emily Ratajkowski shared a selfie, followed by a group pic arm in arm with pals, featuring said new haircut. The model's locks have slowly evolved over the past few months, going from chest-length locks to a cut that now verges on bob territory. Enter: The lob.
While not a dramatic hair transformation at first glance, when comparing her current hair with the length we saw throughout May and June of this year, the difference is certainly measurable. As shown, Em's hair now sits just below her shoulders.

What hasn't changed, however, is the style of the cut. Not veering too far from her trademark look, Emily has kept her tresses blunt with a straight across cut. Aka, when it comes to layers, the closest we're getting to texture is her face-framing curtain bangs, which, as mentioned are nothing too new. (Though, as ever, remain chic and timeless, ofc!)
In the rules of hair styling, blunt cuts – and in this case, the blunt lob or bob – are ideal for those with finer hair. And while Emily is blessed with a thicker head of hair, her 'do still perfectly demonstrates that the more geometric and blunt the cut is, the fuller the density of hair appears. In other words, it's not about adding layers for volume but, keeping the bottom looking heavy and therefore, appearing thicker.
