Emily Ratajkowski just inspired our next designer ski wear addiction
Much as we try to look glamorous on the slopes, there's just something about that infamous ski trousers and jacket combo that is super unforgiving. Right? This was taught to us by Bridget Jones in The Edge of Reason, though It-girl Emily Ratajkowski is on a mission to change all that. The supermodel appears as the face of this season's hottest fashion collab. Iconic American label Michael Kors has teamed up luxury Italian sportswear brand Ellesse for the ultimate ski-themed clothing line – perfect gracing the slopes on that post-Christmas getaway.MORE: Emily Ratajkowski and Pete Davidson nail the courtside-comfort look at the New York Knicks gameFull disclosure: where EmRata is involved, we're interested. The supermodel has been absolutely nailing winter dressing recently (think Y2K camel boots, heavy-duty shearling jackets and acid-wash midi skirts), so we were super excited to see how the model fared in climes slightly chillier than the streets of New York. Styled by Interview's editor-in-chief Mel Ottenberg, the 31-year-old served 'elevated après ski', donning a series of the collection's pieces alongside fellow model David Agbodji. The campaign shots, photographed by Daniel Clavero, present a graphic, playful take on skiwear, featuring one-off insignia – a unique blend of both Michael Kors and Ellesse's logos. "Ellesse was born on the slopes," explains Ellesse's brand director Simon Breckon. "The Ellesse and Michael Kors collection combines the Italian flair of Ellesse with the glamour and luxe that is unique to the Michael Kors philosophy to create looks that work on the slopes and on the street—bringing effortless style and sharp tailoring to après ski."READ: Emily Ratajkowski is a Y2K goddess in denim midi skirt and cut-out crop topRELATED: Emily Ratajkowski's boots are every 2000s R&B girl's footwear fantasyFeaturing Ellesse's signature warm vibrancy, vivid oranges and reds were paired alongside sleek navy and ultra-fresh white, in the form of colour-blocked gilets, side-stripe leggings, statement puffers and spirited accessories.
