Emily Browning EXCLUSIVE: ‘It’s Dangerous To Think If You Love Someone Enough, They’ll Change For You’
As the gangster biopic Legend is released today, we sat down with female lead Emily Browning who plays Frances, wife of Reggie Kray, opposite Tom Hardy.
Emily spoke to us about delving into the character of Frances, trying to understand what would motivate an intelligent young woman to seek such a dangerous life as a violent thug’s partner.
Emily Browning determines that it isn’t so much Frances having a penchant for “bad boys”, but more that she saw him as a way out of what looked to be a stagnant and rather boring life.
Further into the interview, Emily also talks about her hunt for good female roles in Hollywood, lamenting the fact that most parts written for women seem to be as “wife” or “girlfriend” of some superior male lead.
