Emily Blunt captivates in a sheer cutout gown at the BAFTAs
Emily Blunt continues to take Hollywood glamor and red carpet royalty to new heights.
On the heels of her captivating appearance at the Golden Globes, during which she wowed in a gilded Alexander McQueen gown with a sheer white tulle skirt, the actress made an enchanting entrance at the British Academy Film Awards, looking regal once again.
The best actress nominee walked the red carpetat the Royal Festival Hall in London on 18 February in a sheer, ornate cutout dress that we just couldn’t take our eyes off of.
The centrepiece features a high, straight neckline, wide cape sleeves, a trailing train skirt, and four triangular cutouts along her abdomen and hips that extend to her back, and is completely covered in elaborate bead- and jewel-embellishments.
Emily paired the gown with gold strappy, open-toe heels and majestic jewellery, including a luxurious diamond and multi-coloured crystal statement necklace and massive diamond stud earrings, both by Tiffany and Co. For beauty, the actor opted for bronzy makeup, complete with a subtle brown smoky eye and rosy-pink lips, and styled her blonde locks in a sophisticated updo with face-framing tendrils hanging out the sides.
She posed for some snaps with her Oppenheimer co-star Cillian Murphy, who was later named best actor for his portrayal of the "father of the atomic bomb" - the first Irish star to win the award. He looked cool in a monochromatic black outffit composed of a flowy T-shirt under a long blazer jacket, straight-leg trousers, and shiny dress shoes.
