EastEnders star Patsy Kensit 'splits from fiancé Patric Cassidy' and joins celebrity dating app

EastEnders star Patsy Kensit has reportedly ended her engagement to property mogul Patric Cassidy following a series of heated arguments. A source told The Sun: “It’s been a tumultuous relationship between Patsy and Patric.

“While there was a lot of passion in their whirlwind romance, and they had a lot in common, ultimately it became too much hard work.

“They enjoyed extravagant dinners and holidays, but Patsy also likes to chill out, stay at home and get her beauty sleep."

They added that Patsy has completely cut ties with Patric in an effort to move on with her life, adding that she is putting her best foot forward and concentrating on work and her family.”

OK! has contacted Patsy's reps for comment.

The 56 year old has already signed up to celebrity dating app Raya in a bid to find love. Her profile includes snaps of her at a fashion show and with the late pop star David Bowie on the set of the 1986 film Absolute Beginners.

The pair got engaged in February 2023, in a romantic proposal that Patric got down on one knee in the centre of a love heart made out of in red petals on the sand as the sun set behind them.

Patsy gave fans a glimpse of her rock of an engagement ring. In the accompanying caption the soap star simply wrote: "I said yes".

However, the pair called it quits back in July, before reuniting to give their romance another go in November 2023.

Prior to her split from Patric, Patsy had opened up to OK! about their relationship, telling us: "These things happen when you least expect it. I got set up on a blind date so there you go."

However, she also revealed that her expectations of a relationship are different now she is older. Patsy explained: "I think we have to understand that you are never going to be able to change someone. I use the word companionship.

"I’m not ruling the intimacy side of things out, but relationships are different at this age, and it is good and OK. You have got to be hopeful and grateful."

Patsy's relationship with Patric marked her fifth engagement, with the actress having been married four times in the past.

She boasts a colourful dating history, having wed the likes of Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher and Simple Minds singer Jim Kerr.

She has also been romantically linked to actor and comedian David Walliams, and footballers Ally McCoist, Ryan Giggs, and Michael Gray.
