EastEnders star Micah Balfour welcomes first child as he shares sweet glimpse of newborn
Micah Balfour, known for his role as Junior Knight in EastEnders, has become a dad for the first time. The actor, 46, announced that he and his partner Nat, 33, have welcomed their bundle of joy after being together for over five years.
Micah shared an adorable snap on social media showing the new parents' hands with their little one clutching Nat's finger, accompanied by a love heart emoji. He kept any more details under wraps, not disclosing the baby's name, weight, or birth specifics. His co-star James Farrah was one of the first to celebrate the news, sharing a heart emoji in the comments.
The couple had previously revealed the news that they were expecting last summer, with a due date set for February 2025. Micah posted an Instagram photo featuring a teddy bear, flowers, and a baby scan, teasing the news with "So we have some exciting news......" and a sign stating: "Baby Balfour, February 2025."

The announcement was met with a flood of well-wishes from friends and fans alike. EastEnders' Louisa Lytton responded with "Congratulations" and love heart eye emojis. Emmerdale's Eden Taylor-Draper, who worked with Micah on the ITV soap, chimed in with "Congratalions! ! ! ! ", while Rhea Bailey, formerly of Coronation Street, expressed her excitement with "Ahh! Congratulations Honey! ! So exciting! ! ".
Micah's character Junior arrived on Albert Square last year as the son of George Knight (played by Colin Salmon) and quickly became entangled in a secret romance with his father's ex, Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins). Their affair came to light in dramatic fashion on Christmas Day, leading to Cindy being attacked by an unknown assailant in a shocking twist.
Fans are on tenterhooks to discover the identity of the assailant, with the big reveal set for the EastEnders anniversary in February. In last night's episode, Wednesday, 29 January, viewers saw Junior stashing away a shovel - the same one used to attack Cindy - in his flat. However, it remains a mystery whether he is guilty.
