EastEnders Mitchell death twist confirmed as Stevie drops bombshell about Billy's mum

EastEnders favourite Billy Mitchell is set to be at the centre of more heartbreak next week.

He was recently introduced to his half-brother Teddy Mitchell and his sons Harry and Banrey Mitchell after learning his dad Stevie Mitchell had a secret family.

Stevie was hospitalised after Will Mitchell pushed the pensioner over following a row. Teddy visited his dad in Walford General before heading back to the Square to explore the local area, and his new family.

Teddy and his two sons have since made themselves at home in the Square, and have appeared to win over head of the family Phil. In a recent scene, Stevie explained to his two sons that Teddy was the product on a fling, but Teddy soon asked his dad why he was lying.

In next week's EastEnders, the Mitchells all get together for a celebration when Billy decides to throw a surprise party for Stevie in The Vic.

He explains to his son Will that Stevie and his long-lost mum, Val, shared the same birthday. But soon reveals that he has no idea where his mum is.

Over at the café, Teddy meets Stevie and gives him a stern warning to stop lying. After overhearing them talking about keeping something from Billy, Phil is intrigued and gets his trusted lawyer Ritchie to do some digging.

While at Th Vic, Stevie is overjoyed to see the effort Billy and Will have gone to which sparks Billy to give a speech about his dad, and wishes his mum well - wherever she is.

But Phil soon arrives and takes Stevie aside to show the evidence Ritchie has dug up on him, and it's not good news.

Once back at No.18, Stevie confesses to Billy that his mum is dead while Teddy looks on. Stevie shares the tragic story of Val’s death with his reeling sons Billy and Teddy before making a huge decision.

The news sends shockwaves through Billy and feeling a broken man he confides in his cousin Phil who tells him to wise up to who Stevie really is. Later, Teddy urges Billy not to let this revelation rob them of their relationship.

Will Stevie's lie see the end of his relationship with Billy?
