EastEnders fans name Cindy’s 'killer' after Christmas attack - and it’s not who you'd expect
No Christmas special of EastEnders would be complete without plenty of drama, and this year was no different. On Wednesday, 25 December’s episode, viewers watched as Cindy Beale’s affair with Junior Knight was exposed - something which left her fiancé Ian absolutely devastated.
As fellow residents of Albert Square turned their backs on Cindy, she decided to make her way to King’s Cross to seek new surroundings. However, as she made her way to the station, Cindy was attacked with a spade by a mysterious figure. As a result, not only have fans questioned whether she’ll make it out alive, but they’ve begun speculating about the identity of the attacker too.
At the time of the attack, Cindy had rubbed several Walford residents the wrong way, though fans have theorised that Kojo Asare could have been behind the attack. In a TikTok post, viewers claimed that Kojo could be the perpetrator for a number of reasons, especially as Cindy was involved in the fall that landed him seriously ill in hospital.

“The only person in the family and showdown they didn’t show at the end was….. Kojo,” the post read. “Kojo was convinced it was his fault that George didn’t find out sooner about the affair as he knew….. However he was threatened and kept SILENT by Cindy…”
It added: “The song played at the end of the episode up until Cindy was killed was… SILENT NIGHT Could this be intentional? Kojo as the ‘silent’ Knight out of the Knights…
“He also tells George ‘he’ll make it up to’ him and he ‘promises’.... Could this be him ‘making it up to’ George by getting rid of what he thinks is the problem? Junior previously said to him he could ‘tell everyone’ if the secret was getting too much for him therefore it was only Cindy holding Kojo back from revealing the truth so maybe that’s why he went after her not Junior (who George was also very angry with).
“Cindy is then shown BOOKING A CAB, something we know Kojo has been associated with (clue maybe) immediately before the killer attacks.”
In response to the theory, fellow fans of the show took to the comments to share their opinions on the matter. “It’s gotta be Kojo because George wants him to say he was with him and deep down Kojo needs a alibi little twist ahahahs,” one agreed. “Kojo would be the least obvious person and plus when he walked off in the vic we didn’t see exactly where he went,” said another.
However, others were less sure on the identity of the attacker. “Anna is the silent knight,” commented one. “It’s none of them I reckon it was Bobby or a old character returning,” added another.
