EastEnders dead character's return 'exposed' as star drops hint - and it's not Mick Carter

EastEnders star Angela Wynter teased the return of familiar face despite being killed off.

Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) was murdered by Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) last Christmas as the mechanic was about to strangle fiancee Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) in the Queen Vic.

Sharon discovered Keanu had a role to play in her son Albie’s kidnapping but she later confessed to him that he was not Albie’s father, as the his dad is actually Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden).

In a desperate bid to stop Keanu from killing Sharon, Linda stepped in and stabbed him. Even though Keanu was no longer a physical threat, his death wasn't the end of their torment.

The rest of The Six - Kathy Beale, Suki Panesar, Denise Fox and Stacey Slater - then helped cover up the murder by dumping Keanu’s body in the cafe.

In typical soap fashion though, his body was eventually discovered under the floorboards of the Bridge Street Cafe. However, the ladies managed to get away with the crime as they framed Linda’s rapist Dean Wicks for Keanu’s murder.

Now, EastEnders legend Angela Wynter has teased that Keanu could potentially be making a comeback to Walford. The actress, who plays Yolande Trueman, appeared at the TRIC Awards earlier this week.

Chatting to Simon Goss, the pair spoke about rumours that Danny Dyer could make a return - despite his character Mick Carter getting lost at sea back in 2022.

“Anyone can come back,” Angela said. She added: “Keanu can come back, yeah, Keanu can come back,” while smiling.

It comes after Danny Dyer himself teased a return to the soap - but with a twist. Danny told Heat magazine: "Everyone is asking when I’m going back to EastEnders, which is very interesting to me."

The Football Factory explained how he felt complimented that people wanted him back in Walford, he added: "If there's no closure there, then maybe I would come back for a dream sequence.

"I don't think Mick could just rock up covered in seaweed! I think if they did it right, with the 40th anniversary coming up, if they came up with an idea of maybe Linda drunk or hallucinating, then I would come back and do some scenes with her."

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer
