Eamonn Holmes has been spotted out in London after recently opening up about his 'tough year'. The TV presenter gave an update on his health back in September, revealing that back issues have led to him using a wheelchair whilst out in public, and said earlier this month that he'll be 'glad to see the back' of 2024.

On Monday 25 November, the ex This Morning host was pictured leaving a Soho office in an electric wheelchair before being helped into a waiting car. The 64-year-old, who is currently a presenter on GB News alongside Isabel Webster, looked downcast as he left the central London office.

Over the last few years, Eamonn has opened up the debilitating chronic pain he has been battling. After undergoing surgery to fix three slipped discs in 2022, the presenter revealed that he could no longer walk properly and sometimes needed a mobility scooter to get around.

Returning to his GB News programme after his second back operation, Eamonn told viewers: "Basically, I can't walk. I can do everything... everything above here [gesturing to his waist] works, but it's the legs." While Eamonn returned to hospital for another operation last year, his recovery took a step back after he fell down the stairs of his home, breaking his shoulder.

In September, Eamonn revealed that he struggles to "look after" himself, taking to Instagram to campion stray dogs charity K-9 Angels. Alongside fellow advocate Jo O'Meara, Eamonn celebrated their charity work and introduced dog Bella, who needs a "perfect home".

Eamonn said: "Think about giving Bella a home. If I could walk and look after myself she would be mine but instead you could be me. Talk to [the K-9 Angels]." He went on to call Bella an "absolutely lovely doggie".

It has been a difficult year for the presenter, who shocked fans in May when he split from wife Ruth Langsford after 14 years of marriage. A spokesperson for the couple said in a statement at the time: "Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing."

Eamonn has since moved on with new girlfriend Katie Alexander, a marriage counsellor from Huddersfield. The couple attended their first public event together when attending the Irish Post Awards in early November and were seen enjoying dinner together ahead of the ceremony.

A source told the Mirror: "While Eamonn waited for the ceremony to begin he enjoyed his dinner in the company of his new girlfriend Katie. The pair seemed relaxed and were inseparable." However, despite their united front, Eamonn reportedly requested not to be photographed at the dining table with 42 year old Katie.
