In 2016, Dyson launched its first hair tool, the Supersonic Hair Dryer. It quickly became a cult product, selling out repeatedly and can now be shopped in numerous colourways.
Despite six years of Black Friday sales taking place since then, the brand had never reduced the price, until this year when Boots gave customers just two hours to get 15% off the limited edition Dyson Vinca Blue and Rosé Supersonic Hair Dryer in its Black Friday sale.
Missed out the first time around? The good news is that today Boots has bought back the hugely popular Dyson hair dryer deal and this time it's even better. Now, the discount can be had on all Dyson Supersonic colours (there are five options to choose from).
Similar to last time, however, this deal is only on offer for two hours, on Friday 9th December (between 7pm and 9pm). To access the saving, simply enter the code DYSON15 at checkout to enjoy 15% off.
Customers can also pick up £10 worth of Boots Advantage Card Points for every £60 spent whilst they shop.
If you're quick, you'll get to enjoy this limited discount, so if it's on your Christmas list – or you're planning to snap it up for a loved one – don't hang about.
Delivery will be speedy too. With all orders across Boots over £15, you can take advantage of the brand's Click & Collect service, so you'll be able to pick up your new hairdryer the next day.
Why we rate it
Launched six years ago, the Supersonic Hair Dryer was Dyson's first foray into the beauty industry, and the result of $71 million worth of research.
Revolutionising the hair dryer, it was one of the first to use ionic technology in its futuristic design, which smoothes hair, reduces frizz and is less damaging to delicate strands.
Thanks to the small but powerful Dyson V9 motor inside, it can dry hair faster as it emits a high-pressure, high-velocity stream of air.
You can choose between four heat settings (28˚C, 60˚C, 80˚C and 100˚C), and three speed settings for diffusing, everyday drying and styling. Acoustically tuned, it's also one of the quietest hairdryers on the market and let's be honest, the slickest design.
It comes in a beautifully presented box with five styling attachments which magnetically clip into the main body.
What the review say
There's no shortage of reviews on Boots' website – over 4,000 on each option, to be exact. Of those, more than 3,500 are five-stars. Here's what just some had to say:
"Very pleased with my new hair dryer - it's light to hold, dries quickly and the attachments are so easy to use to produce a perfect styling. I watched the videos and read all the details so knew how to use the drier and attachments effectively. Would not use any other dryer now"
"This is a very pricey hair dryer, but it is remarkably good. There are plenty of tools to suit any requirements and the tools click into place quickly and easily. It dries my thick, medium length hair faster than any other hair dryer I have used and leaves my hair sleek and smooth. It is compact and light and easy to hold. If you want to splash out on a really effective hair dryer then this is the one to choose"
"I have never paid that much for a hair dryer, but i am not disappointed. The different functions help to style, use the cold or heat buttons easily and it is attractive in design. Very pleased with it"
"This hair dryer is so light to use and so powerful. The 3rd heat setting is very hot if you like a good blow dry. Yes I love this hair dryer it just looks so pretty too. I wasn’t sure if this dryer could handle my daughters very thick Afro hair, but it does it with ease"
