The Duchess of Cambridge has once again supported the British high street by wearing a new dress from Marks & Spencer.

The 38-year-old royal can be seen wearing the on-trend garment in a video posted on social media. In the clip, Kate is seen leading an online assembly for Oak National Academy. The pre-recorded Zoom call, which shows the duchess addressing pupils from Waterloo Primary Academy in Blackpool, will be released in full at 10am on Thursday.

“Small acts of kindness can go such a long way. But as we help others, we mustn’t forget to nurture ourselves, by taking the time to focus on the things that make us feel happy too,” the mum-of-three says in the video.

For the virtual engagement, the duchess opted to wear a new patterned dress from Marks & Spencer.

The Printed Yoke Midi Waisted Dress is part of M&S’ latest fashion drop and costs £39.50.

Although the design may look like a floral pattern from a distance, it is in fact an unusual cabbage-print.

The description explains that the print took inspiration from country gardens.

Perfect for the summer, the dress features trendy frilled, slightly puffed sleeves, an elasticated waist and flattering midi length.

It’s available in two styles, regular and long, and is currently still in stock in all sizes from 6 to 24.

Kate is a long-standing supporter of the British high street store.

Back in March, she wore a pink suit by the brand while visiting an NHS centre. Meanwhile, in February the duchess sported a pair of £29.50 Marks and Spencer trainers at a SportsAid event.

The M&S dress is one of very few new items the duchess has debuted during her lockdown Zoom calls.

While she has preferred to recycle old ensembles and accessories, including a pair of hoop earrings from Accessorize, which are still available to purchase for an affordable £5.

Kate has also been seen in a new rose printed shirt dress by London-based brand, Beulah London that is available to buy online for £550.

As well as a scalloped-trim knitted cardigan by Sandro, which is available to buy for £155 online at Selfridges.
