The Duchess of Edinburgh (formerly Sophie, Countess of Wessex) looked radiant in a pink and white gingham dress for the first garden party of the year at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday (3 May).

For the royal garden party, the Duchess opted for a pink and white gingham dress with gorgeous blazer detailing, open collared neckline and a regal A-line skirt finish.

According to the royal family's post on Instagram, this is the first royal garden party at Buckingham Palace of 2023.

Ahead of the coronation this weekend, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh joined King Charles and Queen Consort for the royal garden party.

The royal garden parties take place each year to recognise and reward those who have made a positive impact to their communities.

Among those invited were also, "some of the 500 ‘Coronation Champions’ – exceptional volunteers who have been selected by the Royal Voluntary Service to mark this special coronation year," read the caption.

In the collection of photos, there is a collage of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh smiling while meeting some of the amazing volunteers.

This isn't the only radiant outfit we've seen the Duchess of Edinburgh in recently. The Duchess wore a stylish pink blazer from Me+Em for a visit to Brockhill Park Performing Arts College in Kent on Wednesday (26 April).

Paired with a chic white shirt and black tailored trousers, the Duchess looked effortlessly chic for a lesson in animal care.

The Duchess wore the Pop Check Slim Boyfriend Jacket by Me+EM, which is available in sizes 4 to 16 and is £295.

We can't wait to see what the Duchess will wear for the coronation!
