The Duchess of Cornwall has revealed the four "incredible" novels she's selected to launch her book club, The Reading Room.

Over the next eight weeks, the club will be featuring each book for a fortnight, "hearing from the authors, and providing thoughts for discussion", according to a post on the royal's Reading Room's official Instagram account.

The books are: The Mirror & The Light by Man Booker prize-winner Hilary Mantel, Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens, Restless by William Boyd and The Architect's Apprentice by Elif Shafak.

"Season One of The Reading Room has launched!" the caption next to the images of all four books read. "We're thrilled to announce the four books Her Royal Highness has chosen for this season.

"Over the next eight weeks we'll be featuring each book for a fortnight, hearing from the authors, and providing thoughts for discussion. We hope you'll join the conversation."

In a separate video, Camilla spoke about the enjoyment she derives from reading as she encouraged everyone to get involved in her new book club on her official Clarence House account.

"For me, reading is a great adventure," the duchess explained. "I've loved it since I was very small and I'd love everyone else to enjoy it as much as I do. You can escape, you can travel, you can laugh, you can cry. There's every kind of emotion humans experience in a book."

"Season One of The Duchess of Cornwall’s Reading Room launches today!" the caption read. "Over the next eight weeks, The Reading Room will explore some of Her Royal Highness's favourite books, in conversation with the authors.

"Join The Duchess on what she calls “the great adventure” of reading."
