Kensington Palace shared a video of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s first virtual royal engagement on Wednesday.
The couple have adapted their way of working during the coronavirus outbreak, along with the rest of the country.
In a video posted on the @KensingtonRoyal Instagram account, William and Kate dialled in from their home in Norfolk, Anmer Hall, to speak with students and school staff at Casterton Primary Academy in Lancashire. The school is currently continuing to educate the children of key workers and those vulnerable during the coronavirus lockdown.
During their conversation, the duke and duchess thanked the staff for their hard work, after students - who have returned to school because their parents are key workers - showed off their paintings and Easter baskets.
Teachers across the UK are dedicating their time to keeping schools open for the children of key workers and vulnerable children.

For the call, the duchess looked as chic as ever in a cheerful, yellow jumper.
Featuring puff sleeves and a round neck, the Zara top was complimented by a pair of fern drop earrings from Zoraida London.
Fans gushed over Kate’s look on social media.

You can tell that Duchess Catherine is so at ease with children, really knows how to relate to them and just makes them feel like her attention is fully on them.
