Kate wore a Japanese Pearl choker necklace belonging to Her Majesty the Queen for the late Duke of Edinburgh's funeral at St George's Chapel in Windsor, which began at 3pm this afternoon.
Poignantly, the accessory appears to honour the incredible relationship between the Queen and Prince Philip. Kate previously wore it to the Queen and Prince Philip's 70th wedding anniversary celebration dinner at Windsor Castle in 2017.
The Queen also loaned the pearl choker to the late Princess Diana for a banquet at Hampton Court Palace in 1982.
The necklace consists of four strands of Japanese pearls with a central diamond clasp.
Wearing pearls and white diamonds is a traditional choice for royal funerals.
Her Majesty the Queen also followed tradition for her late husband's funeral by wearing Queen Mary's pearl and diamond Richmond brooch, which was given to her grandmother in 1893.
Prince Philip's funeral began at 3pm, following the funeral procession from Windsor Castle to the nearby St George's Chapel.
