The Duchess of Cambridge paid a sweet tribute to William on Blue Peter
Last week, the Duchess of Cambridge appeared on CBBC's Blue Peter, where she launched a competition for children to design a sculpture – and she paid tribute to her husband in the most romantic way.
As part of the show, Kate was filmed planting flowers with the children, where she chose a pink-and-white flower, a Dianthus Barbatus, which is also known as a Sweet William.
As she chatted on the show, Kate also spoke about the advantages of being outside, explaining that "come rain or shine" her children are dragged outdoors.
"It encourages creativity and confidence, even for a very short period of time – just 10 or 15 minutes outside makes a huge difference to both physical and mental wellbeing."

Both Kate and William embraced the great outdoors once again late last week, as they arrived in Cumbria, where they met with various organisations, including the Cumbria Wildlife Trust and The Farmer Network.
While in the area, the couple also took some time to themselves, sneaking off to The Inn on the Lake in Ullswater, where they enjoyed a private afternoon tea.
