The Duchess of Sussex and the Duchess of Cambridge have arrived at Wimbledon for the Ladies’ Singles Final match.

The Duchesses’ outing is the first time the ladies have attended an official engagement as a twosome.

While the pair have attended a number of events together since Meghan married into the royal family – including the Trooping the Colour and the RAF Centenary service – they have always been accompanied by their husbands.

Photographed entering the stadium, the two ladies appeared to be chatting away happily and giggling with one another.

The pair then met young tennis players to talk about the exciting upcoming match before taking their seats in the stands.

For the occasion, the Duchess of Sussex opted for a blue-and-white striped, boxy shirt by Ralph Lauren which she wore unbuttoned and relaxed.

The shirt – costing £69 – has already sold out online.

The 36-year-old paired the shirt with chic white Ralph Lauren trousers.

The Duchess returns to American Ralph Lauren after wearing the brand to her nephew Prince Louis’ christening on Monday.

On the accessories front, Meghan toted a white, wide-brimmed Maison Michel fedora hat featuring a black band which we’ll no doubt see her don later when the sun shines.

She also carried at Altuzzara’s Ghianda leather shoulder bag.

The Duchess of Cambridge, also 36, stuck to her off-duty formula in a patterned summer dress by Jenny Packham, featuring a ruched-effect at the waist.

British designer Packham is one of Kate’s favourites, and the royal has worn dozens of her designs in the past.

The Duchess added her signature nude heels while toting a chic, cream Dolce & Gabbana bag handbag.

Throughout the match, the pair could be seen joking and laughing indicating what is clearly a close friendship between the Duchesses.

Meghan is supporting her close friend, Serena Williams, as she plays German sportswoman Angelique Kerber on center court.

The old friends spent some time together just a few weeks ago, as they watched Prince Harry play in a charity polo match in Berkshire at the start of July.

Serena famously attended Meghan and Harry’s wedding in May, and the pair spent a Sunday together watching Prince Harry play in a charity polo match in Berkshire just two weekends ago.

Kate will return to Wimbledon on Sunday, this time with Prince William, to watch the Gentlemans’ Singles Final.

The Duchess is a Wimbledon patron and a huge tennis fan.
