The royal trio marked the 20th anniversary of Diana’s death by visiting the Palace’s Sunken Gardens which have been transformed into the White Garden in memory of the Princess.

As always, Kate dressed appropriately in a floral silk Prada dress. Costing £1,420, the green midi-length number featured a red poppy pattern and a pussybow-style tie.

Forgoing her usual clutch bag, the Duchess finished the feminine look with a pair of nude high heels and a matching umbrella to ward off the rain.

Kate joined her husband Prince William and his brother, Prince Harry, in the peaceful garden where they met with several representatives from charities that Diana had championed in the last years of her life.

The royals also met the garden’s Head Gardener Sean Harkin along with gardener Graham Dillamore who knew Princess Diana thanks to her regular visits.

Diana was tragically killed in a car crash in Paris on August 31 1997. Fans have already started to leave tributes to the People’s Princess at the gates of Kensington Palace.
