Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz have been clocking up all the praise online after sharing a sweet snapshot together, which highlighted their ageless beauty.

The Charlie's Angels co-stars, who are 46 and 49 respectively, received an influx of positive feedback on Instagram for "embracing their age gracefully" after sharing a natural snap together.

Barrymore shared the image of the duo to her grid with the caption: "Bestie hour with my bestie poo poo!!"

In the photo, the actors - who became close friends after working together on the Charlie's Angels films -were shown cosying up with their heads close together.

Though both women were wearing make-up, fans rushed to comment on the image, pointing out how refreshing it was to see two women embracing, rather than fighting against their age.

"Gorgeous, love how you’re embracing your age gracefully," one user wrote.

"I love seeing my fave Hollywood celebrities ageing with such grace and beauty," another agreed.

Another commented how "refreshing" it was to see two women "ageing gracefully", while another commented how "beautiful and natural" the stars looked. "So very unplastic," the fan added.

Barrymore has previously opened up about the importance of good skincare as you get older.

"I don't buy bags, I don't buy shoes - skincare is my thing,” she previously told Insider. “I don't want to turn to the needle or the doctors, so I love investing in it. Because then, I can bring it to people."

By 'it' she is referring to her beauty company, Flower Beauty, which she credits for helping her learn the tricks to help keep her skin looking its best.

"Not messing with my face or chasing some unnatural beauty is a standard I live by," she told Glamour UK.

"I feel more human and more vulnerable every year of my life but I also know how to appreciate every year more and more too."

Despite the praise from fans about her youthful looks, Barrymore previously explained that going through some difficult times had impacted her skin.

"I just went through a couple of hard years, and I can see it wearing on my face," she told New Beauty in 2019.

"There’s also a very long period when you’re raising kids when it takes it out of you. When it depletes your ability to take care of yourself because your new job is doing nothing but taking care of someone else and you love it."

The actor went on to say that this had influenced how she views the ageing process.

“I’m now determined more than ever to show my daughters that ageing is a luxury," she continued. "If we’re lucky, we are all going to age. I just want them to be at peace with who they are and not what they look like.”

While she'd "never say never" to using beauty enhancements and cosmetic surgery, for now the actor is choosing to age naturally.

“I’ve never done anything to my face and I would like to try not to,” she said during a recent episode of her talk show, The Drew Barrymore Show.

Besides, the make-up company founder said she doesn’t mind a few fine lines or grey hairs. “We’re gonna age, things are gonna go south and it’s okay and it’s a part of life and I feel more human and more vulnerable every year of my life, but I also know how to appreciate every year more and more, too,” she added.

When it comes to the products she loves, Barrymore admits to being a fan of mixing up luxury and high street products.

While she’s a fan of Chanel’s foaming cleanser, she’s also a fan of beauty products you can pick up from the local pharmacy.

"I do think that you can make the most amazing skin care out of really mild, grocery store products," she told Insider. "Like, Regenerist from Olay is as good as any expensive night cream you will ever buy.

“If I'm on the run, I love a good Cetaphil,” she said. Toner is also something you can pick up at your local pharmacy. “Anything from down and dirty witch hazel or I still love old-school Noxzema or Sea Breeze,” she added.

Barrymore's pal Diaz has a similar attitude to ageing. While she admits to having had Botox in the past, she previously opened up about her regrets over it. "I've tried [Botox] before, where it was like [a] little tiny touch of something," she told Entertainment Tonight.

"It changed my face in such a weird way that I was like, 'No, I don't want to [be] like [that]'" she said at the time. "I'd rather see my face ageing than a face that doesn't belong to me at all."

And like her Charlie's Angels co-star, Diaz also doesn't stress about looking older. In her The Body Book she points out: “A lot of us fear the idea of ageing – getting older, being less mobile, having less energy, and being less of ourselves. But I look at ageing like this: getting older is a blessing and a privilege, and if you lay the foundation for a healthy life in your younger years, your older years may very well be some of the best of your life."

But she had to work hard to perfect her beauty regime. “I had terrible, terrible, skin. It was embarrassing, and I did everything I could think of to make it go away. I tried to cover it with makeup.”

In terms of beauty secrets Diaz swears by wearing SPF, especially when she is going to be spending time in the sun.

Diaz is also rumoured to be a fan of facial oils, to keep her skin soft and supple.
