Dr Michael Mosley seen in heartbreaking new CCTV footage just two hours before his death

In newly-released CCTV footage, Michael Mosley is seen holding an umbrella just two hours before his tragic death. The 67 year old TV favourite was captured walking near a property with a tarpaulin-covered speedboat in its driveway, as the CCTV recorded the last sighting of him prior to his collapse from suspected heat exhaustion at the Agia Marina beach in Symi.

The renowned health expert went missing on Wednesday, 5 June, after failing to return from a walk to his shared accommodation with his wife. Expecting to see Michael returning from St Nicholas beach around 1:30pm, he was distressingly discovered by a local bartender days later, on Sunday, 9 June, following the alert signal by a camera crew and the town mayor.

Dimos Kotsidaras, police commander for Symi, confirmed: "It looks like cause of death was heat exhaustion after walking in high temperatures from St Nicholas to Agia Marina." Authorities suggest that the father of four tragically died of natural causes on the same day he disappeared while vacationing on the Greek island.

Konstantia Dimoglidou, a spokesperson for the Greek police, confirmed to the BBC that an initial post-mortem examination has been conducted on the star's body. The examination revealed no signs of injury and estimated the time of death to be around 4pm local time on Wednesday, reports the Mirror.

Michael had left his friends at Agios Nikolaos beach around 1.30pm for a walk. Dimoglidou stated that the position of his body suggests he died of natural causes. She also mentioned that toxicology and histology reports are underway.

Earlier footage reportedly discovered by a beach bar at Agia Marina shows what seems to be the TV star navigating down a rocky slope near a fence before disappearing from view. The Symi crisis rescue volunteer team extended their "deepest condolences" to his wife, children, and friends, expressing sorrow over his "for his tragic loss".

In a statement, the team said: "Our team was called in by island authorities to assist in the search investigation on the very first night of his disappearance and we immediately began with a first night search, They continued their involvement in the investigations over the following days, working alongside firefighters, police officers, and other volunteers under the direction of the head of the investigation.

"They acknowledged the high temperatures and challenging terrain made the mission particularly difficult, and sadly, the outcome is now known to all."

Dr Clare Bailey Mosley, wife of Dr Michael Mosley, released a heartwrenching statement confirming her husband's passing. She previously shared: "I don't know quite where to begin with this.
