Donatella Versace and Net-a-porter Host Pre-Oscars Fete, With Channing Tatum, Victoria Monet and More
Versace Icons has made its way to Los Angeles just in time for Oscars weekend.
The luxury Italian house has been bringing together friends of the brand — those it regards as groundbreakers in their fields — in various cities. The party has traveled to New York and Shanghai with the faces of its Versace Icons womenswear collection campaign, Anne Hathaway and Chris Lee, respectively.

On Thursday night the celebration came to L.A., held at a private residence in Bel Air. Donatella Versace held court as cohost, in partnership with Net-a-porter and its president Alison Loehnis.
The guest list was a mix of familiar faces; the evening brought out actors Sheryl Lee Ralph, Channing Tatum, Simu Liu, Marisa Tomei, January Jones, Álvaro Morte, Tiffany Haddish and Storm Reid; actress and singer Teyana Taylor; singer-songwriters Victoria Monet and Jon Batiste; costume designer Ellen Mirojnick, who’s been receiving acclaim for her work in Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer”; model Barbara Palvin with husband and actor Dylan Sprouse; model Precious Lee, and football players Tyrod Taylor and Odell Beckham Jr.
Many were dressed in complete Versace looks, with runway pieces from the spring 2024 collection. Singer Coco Jones was among them, in a black and silver strapless dress. The recent Grammy winner — who took home Best R&B Performance for her hit song “ICU” — was the musical guest; she kept the crowd entertained, performing a three-song set against a sprawling L.A. skyline as backdrop.
In recent Versace news, as reported by WWD in February, the brand has tapped K-pop star Ningning as a global brand ambassador. The 21-year-old year rose to fame in 2020 as part of the girl group Aespa of SM Entertainment.
