Does ‘Smile 2’ Have a Post-Credits Scene?
Thanks to director Parker Finn, flashing your pearly whites is the scariest thing you can do these days. In 2022, Finn debuted Smile, a horror flick in which people are haunted by terrifying grins and then kill themselves to end the torture. I guess people wanted to see more of that! So now we have Smile 2, which premiered on October 18... and yeah, it has fans wondering if there’s potential for yet another movie.
In Smile 2, global pop star Skye Riley (Naomi Scott) faces the same disastrous fate. After experiencing a series of inexplicable events, she’s struck by the smile curse. According to the film’s logline, Skye finds herself “overwhelmed by the escalating horrors and pressures of fame.” To combat the curse, she’s forced to face her past—final-girl style.
So let’s get to the reason we’re here today: Does Smile 2 have a post-credits scene? Will we smile forever?!? Sadly, there isn’t one. That doesn’t mean you should rush out of the theater—you should give props to everyone who worked on the film. Finn has yet to confirm if there’s another movie in the works, but he seems open to the possibility. Ahead of the Smile 2 premiere, the director spoke with Screen Rant about the future of the franchise. “I do think that there are so many exciting places that Smile could go,” he said. “For me, it’s still always about wanting to do something thematically rich that’s centred on character stories. I love where this film goes, and right now I’m excited to see Smile 2. Hopefully, if they embrace it, I think that there could be a really interesting future for Smile.”
