New documentary following Caroline Flack's mum confirmed
A documentary about the life of Caroline Flack has been announced, marking five years after her tragic death in the February of 2020.
The show, provisionally called Caroline, will be a feature-length film following the former Love Island presenter's mother, Christine, who has hopes "uncover the truth around the circumstances that led to Caroline tragically taking her own life in 2020."
Disney+ also announced that the documentary will include interviews and testimonies from Caroline's close friends and family.
Christine said she was "pleased to be working with the team at Curious Films once again, in the hope of bringing clarity and understanding to Carrie’s story – not just for her, but for everyone who cared about her."
She felt the documentary would help resolve the many questions she had about her daughter's final months, saying "it’s something I feel deeply compelled to explore, even though I know it will be challenging."
Caroline was well-known and much-loved TV presenter, known widely for her work on The X Factor, Big Brother’s Big Mouth and the Brit Awards and of course, Love Island.
Her death in 2020, ruled by a coroner to be suicide, sparked a debate around the treatment of celebrities by the press, with many labelling the headlines she received 'bullying' and being believed to be factors that led to her taking her own life.
The documentary will be produced by the company behind the 2021 documentary Caroline Flack: Her Life and Death, Curious Films and directed by Christian Collerton.
It will be available on Disney+ in late 2025.
