Doctor Who first look at 60th-anniversary specials starring David Tennant and Catherine Tate

The BBC has confirmed the air dates for Doctor Who's 60th-anniversary specials.
David Tennant returns as the Fourteenth Doctor in three all-new special episodes from showrunner Russell T Davies airing this November, where Tennant will reunite with former co-star Catherine Tate as companion Donna Temple-Noble.
A first look at these new episodes sees The Doctor, Donna and the mysterious Rose (Yasmin Finney) confronted by the alien race known as the Wrarth Warriors — while trying to protect the cuddly Beep the Meep (voiced by Miriam Margolyes).
All of the excitement kicks off on Saturday 25 November with 'The Star Beast', as The Doctor and Donna are drawn back together through some mysterious cosmic forces.
Two more episodes will air on the ensuing Saturdays — 'Wild Blue Yonder' on December 2 and 'The Giggle' on December 9. These three specials will be followed by a bonus episode for Christmas.
Neil Patrick Harris will be joining Doctor Who for the anniversary specials as a new incarnation of The Toymaker, a villain who last appeared all the way back in 1966.
Jemma Redgrave reprises her role as UNIT boss Kate Stewart, alongside the final appearance of the late Bernard Cribbins as Donna's grandfather Wilfred Mott.
Former BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat presenter Steffan Powell has been on set throughout production to give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the anniversary specials for the brand new spin-off show Doctor Who Unleashed after every new episode of the main show.
David Tennant recently hyped the three specials for being "unlike any Doctor Who episode ever", hinting fans are seeing "Russell off the leash".
Tennant's appearances will lead into the debut of Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor alongside Millie Gibson as new companion Ruby Sunday for series 14.
Doctor Who returns for three 60th anniversary specials later in 2023. The show airs on BBC One.
Classic episodes of Doctor Who will be made available via BBC iPlayer in the UK from 1 November.
